Description
In the fall of 2012, following the encouraging news that his cancer had entered remission, Rodrigue returned to his home in New Orleans, anxious to settle back into his routine at his easel. The many weeks he spent in a Houston hospital provided him with time to reflect on his situation, this second chance he had been given, and what he had been faced with losing — in his words… hope, love, happiness and sunshine.
“I’m recycling my life,” noted Rodrigue, half-way through the summer of 2013. “I didn’t expect this new experience, and we should make as much of it as we can; because we’re all living in the moment, whatever that may be.”
