Description
George Rodrigue completed the painting Living in the Spotlight at his studio in Carmel, California in June 2013. The contemporary, modernist approach presented a design challenge, emphasizing shapes and colors. “You can’t take a Blue Dog from one painting and put it into another,” Rodrigue often said. “The colors won’t work.”
The painting also inspired an essay from Wendy Rodrigue at “Musings of an Artist’s Wife”.
Living in the Spotlight is the fourth and final print released by the Rodrigue Estate based on a series of four paintings created by George Rodrigue in 2013, per his instructions.
