NEW ORLEANS – On January 5, 2015 the Estate of George Rodrigue will release “Mardi Gras 2015”. The silkscreen was designed by George Rodrigue before his death and has been printed posthumously in a limited numbered edition of 450. “Mardi Gras 2015” is the continuation of a series of annual Mardi Gras works started in 1991. “We were so overwhelmed by the success of last year’s Mardi Gras 2014 silkscreen print which sold out in just five days.” Says Jacques Rodrigue, son of George Rodrigue. “My family and I are happy that we can continue to release these prints that Dad designed and intended to be enjoyed by his fans and collectors.”
Mardi Gras 2015 is the second print released from this set of four paintings pictured right. Spring Adds Color to My Life was the first and the Estate plans to release prints of the other paintings this year.
