In 2006, George Rodrigue created the label for that year’s vintage of Amuse Bouche wine. The makers of Amuse Bouche, a Napa Valley red wine, Heidi Barrett and John Schwartz, wanted to compliment their limited edition vintage with a limited edition work of art.
Rodrigue’s work titled Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner became the label for the wine and a limited edition lithograph. The lithograph was printed on high-quality rag paper in Paris, France, by a team of skilled artisans specializing in this traditional printmaking process.
Rodrigue’s trademark sense of humor is displayed in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. The dinner guest is the Blue Dog, seated in a Windsor dining chair before a pairing of food and wine. Hanging in the dining room, just above the Blue Dog, is what we can assume is one of Rodrigue’s landscape paintings
