Above everything else, George Rodrigue had fun with his art. In 2000, he told Bryant Gumbel of CBS that he thought combining the strong image of the Blue Dog with those strong graphic images that surrounded Christmas, would be fun. The result was 22 silkscreen prints that depicted the Blue Dog enjoying the best of the season, including a Blue Dog snowman, gifts, candy canes, toy soldiers, candles, Christmas trees, and of course Santa Claus.

The silkscreens, each released in a hand-signed edition of 150, were included in the book, Blue Dog Christmas, published by Stewart, Tabor & Chang in 2000. The entire project was four years in the making, and now thru December 31, 2021, Rodrigue Studio offers four of these prints from our Archives. Each silkscreen is sold unframed, but can be framed in either silver or gold to make a ready-to-give gift.
All prints are 20 x 16 inches (unframed) or 29 x 24.5 inches (framed)
$4,000* each, unframed, or an additional $650 to frame in silver or gold as shown.
