A Special Event with Wendy Rodrigue to Support Louisiana A+ Schools
As part of a statewide “Life and Legacy Tour” for Louisiana A+ Schools (LAA+), Wendy Rodrigue visits Shreveport for a personal, unique event, sharing details of George Rodrigue’s life and art, including an exhibition of rarely seen Rodrigue paintings from her private collection and a reading from The Other Side of the Painting (UL Press), a book she wrote with and about her husband.

Also on view, paintings and jewelry by Douglas Magnus of Santa Fe, New Mexico. An accomplished artist and silversmith, Magnus worked closely with George Rodrigue for thirty years on jewelry designs based on his Jolie Blonde, Oak Tree, and Blue Dog paintings.
