\u201cI wanted to paint a tribute to George Jones (1931-2013). \u00a0I\u2019ve loved this song for thirty years, and even though I\u2019ve painted the <\/i><\/span>Blue Dog<\/i><\/span> before on tombs, this one is particularly special, because I reference the woman he loves. \u00a0Her hat is a remembrance alongside his grave.\u201d \u00a0-G.R.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n
