\u201cPeople asked me all summer, \u2018What will you paint once you\u2019re back at your easel?\u2019 I said I didn\u2019t know, but that it probably would relate to my illness. Looking at these first canvases, that\u2019s exactly what happened. I\u2019m painting hope, love, happiness, sunshine<\/strong>,\u00a0 \u00a0everything that I faced losing.\u201d<\/p>\n
