Over his forty-five year career, George Rodrigue<\/span> painted hundreds of images of \u00a0women<\/strong>. The result is a beautiful weaving of original paintings spanning Cajuns, Blue Dogs<\/i>, \u00a0and Bodies<\/i>, as well as drawings, photography and even jewelry. This six-month<\/span> exhibition \u00a0features rarely seen artworks from numerous private collections, and includes the legends \u00a0Jolie Blonde, Evangeline, and Evergreen Lake, as well as the special women in \u00a0Rodrigue\u2019s life—- his mother, Marie Courrege Rodrigue, and his wife, Wendy Wolfe \u00a0Rodrigue.<\/p>\n

Guests will enjoy light music, champagne or tea and sweet treats while browsing the galleries. At 3:00 pm, Wendy Rodrigue, wife of the late George Rodrigue, will lead an enthusiastic and personal tour of the exhibition, Rodrigue\u2019s Women<\/i>.<\/p>\n

While supplies last, a complimentary exhibition poster and a signed copy of Wendy\u2019s book The Other Side of the Painting<\/i>, will be given to each mother as a memento.<\/p>\n
