In Louisiana that translates to warmer weather, festivals and plenty of live music. \u00a0Music is an integral part of Louisiana<\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">\u2019s<\/span><span class=\"s1\" style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"> culture and was an important subject for George Rodrigue throughout his career. Sons, hand-painted over three months in 2012 by George Rodrigue.<\/span><span class=\"s1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>\u201cPeople outside of Louisiana first connected the word \u2018Cajun\u2019 to music.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Soon after came Chef Paul Prudhomme, Tabasco, and in 1976, art, when <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><i>The Cajuns of George Rodrigue<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><i> became the first book published nationally on the Cajun culture.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The music, food, and art of the 1970s and 1980s introduced Cajun to the world.\u201d \u2014 George Rodrigue<br \/>\n<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Paintings include <i>Clifton Chenier<\/i>\u00a0(1985),\u00a0<i>Fais Do Do\u00a0<\/i>(1986), and <i>Mahalia Jackson\u00a0<\/i>(1995-96).
