The silkscreen was designed by George Rodrigue before his death and has been printed posthumously in a limited numbered edition of 450.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This edition is now <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">SOLD OUT<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.714285714;\">&#8220;We were so overwhelmed by the success of the \u2018Mardi Gras 2014\u2019 silkscreen print,&#8221; says Jacques Rodrigue, son of George Rodrigue. &#8220;It was the first posthumous release of an Estate Edition Blue Dog and Dad would have loved that they sold out in just five days. My family and I are happy that we can continue to release these prints that Dad designed and intended to be enjoyed by his fans and collectors.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/georgerodrigue.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/June-15.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-2574\" alt=\"June 15\" src=\"https:\/\/georgerodrigue.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/June-15-300x204.jpg\" width=\"270\" height=\"184\" srcset=\"https:\/\/georgerodrigue.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/June-15-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/georgerodrigue.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/June-15-600x409.jpg 600w, https:\/\/georgerodrigue.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/June-15-1024x697.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/georgerodrigue.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/June-15-730x497.jpg 730w, https:\/\/georgerodrigue.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/June-15-624x425.jpg 624w, https:\/\/georgerodrigue.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/June-15.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 270px) 100vw, 270px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.714285714;\">George Rodrigue painted the original painting &#8220;Spring Adds Color to My Life&#8221;\u00a0<\/span>and three other 40&#215;60 paintings\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem; line-height: 1.714285714;\">in June 2013 (pictured, June 15, 2013, outside the Carmel, CA, studio). \u00a0Over the coming years, the Estate of George Rodrigue will be releasing a series of silkscreen prints based on all four of these paintings. \u00a0&#8220;Spring Adds Color to My Life&#8221; is the first in the series.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Estate of George Rodrigue created a proprietary ink to stamp on editions of prints released by the Rodrigue Estate. The one-of-a-kind ink formula includes several security measures that guarantee the authenticity of Rodrigue Estate editions. The stamp measures approximately 1.5 x 3 inches and is screened directly onto prints issued by the Rodrigue Estate.
